VETERAN GOLFERS ASSOCIATION IMPLEMENTS GOLFSTATUS'S FULL-SERVICE TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

The Veteran Golfers Association will utilize TMS from GolfStatus to streamline tournament preparation, setup, and execution for hundreds of VGA Tour events in the upcoming golf season. In addition to saving golf facilities, nonprofits, and other tournament organizers time and resources, TMS from GolfStatus ensures professional, well-run tournaments that the VGA expects will provide positive experiences for its members, as well as the facilities, sponsors, spectators, and other participants associated with its events.
The Veteran Golfers Association, whose mission is to enrich the lives of veterans and their family members through the sportsmanship and camaraderie of golf, hosts hundreds of tournaments across five divisions (male veterans, female veterans, combat wounded veterans, seniors, and family members). After a series of local tournaments, each region hosts a minimum of three sub-regional playoff tournaments ahead of the VGA regional championships, which culminate in a national championship tournament. The North Carolina-based nonprofit has worked closely with GolfStatus over the last year to test and adopt its full-service tournament management software, which has significantly improved the quality of its outings.
The association's regional tournament organizers work with golf facilities to subsidize tournament fees and hold events at facilities local to veterans across the country.
